Summary.
We are seeking a Graduate Instructional Designer to join our eLearning and Publications team in the UK.
As an Instructional Designer you will be tasked with writing and creating interactive eLearning courses to be deployed internally and externally to help with the self-development of internal teams as well as improving the accessibility and knowledge of our software at our Partners.
We are looking for candidates that are passionate about creating written and interactive content, both on technical as well as self-development topics. A candidate that wants to make the role their own and establish themselves in a newly established and growing team.
You will be part of the Publications team in the Formpipe Private Sector, working closely with your colleagues to ensure the quality and accuracy of training, as well as the opportunities to make a real difference in the company. The role is home or office based and you will be responsible for assisting all customers of Formpipe Private Sector. This role is focused on finding the right person, then training them with the right skills for the role.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Develop and design courses and content to be used internally and externally
- Produce clear, concise and easy-to-understand content
- Review and update existing courses, based on personal review of content as well as feedback from key stakeholders
- Bring own ideas and creativity to help grow the team and improve content
- Administrator Learning Management System to ensure content is easy to find and up to date
- Learn required skills for the job as part of a Graduate training programme
Knowledge and Experience.
Essential:
- Degree in Language, Media or Technical related discipline
- Excellent in comprehension, verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of eLearning and eLearning tools
Desirable:
- Previous experience working on eLearning or as an instructional designer
- Experience with video creation and digital content
Skills.
Essential:
- Excellent Ability to interpret client needs effectively, understand and develop learning briefs, scope out end user learning journeys, storyboarding, and detailed running order creation.
- Effectively use a varied range of digital resources including written articles, videos and infographics
- Communicate effectively at all levels, including at developer, functional consultant, IT infrastructure, end-user and process owner levels
- Work within a team to achieve goals
- Organised and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Absorb information quickly
- Work in a professional and confident manner
- Plan and effectively prioritise own workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Work independently and to meet deadlines, as well as work as part of a team
